Dr Michael Neary is Head of Industry Engagement at Telstra Enterprise & Government. In this role, Michael is responsible for key customer relationships and strategically engaging with customers. Michael joined Telstra in 2007 after 20 years experience in the industry. Previously, Michael held a range of marketing, strategy and consulting roles, including Commonwealth Bank, Credit Union Services Corporation Australia Ltd (CUSCAL) and PMI Mortgage Insurance. Michael has developed a number of financial services strategies in areas including retail banking, payment mechanisms (cards, ATMs and cheques) and mortgages and successfully launched a number of new product innovations.
Michael completed a Doctorate of Business Administration with a thesis on Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship. He holds a Master of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in geography and mathematics from the University of New South Wales. Michael is also a Trustee on the board of the Financial Planning Association’s Future2, a member of Sydney University’s Ethics Committee and a certified practicing marketer (CPM)
